What if I don't have access to a computer or to the Internet?

Although not everyone has dedicated access to a particular terminal, staff are able to use other terminals located in their workplace as required. All terminals have access to this particular LCC internet site.

What happens if I'm off sick or on maternity leave and don't have access to a computer?

Arrangements can be made with your local HR department for a copy of your payslip to be forwarded to your home address.

How can I be sure my personal pay details are secure?

If payslips are accessed from a Constabulary terminal, access is via the Constabulary's corporate internet access portal and the site itself uses 128bit SSL encryption. Access to the system is via corporate firewalls and security systems.

If payslips are accessed from outside the Constabulary, security cannot be guaranteed as the PC terminal used may have been compromised by a virus or hacked, and access from outside the Constabulary will not go through the Constabulary's corporate firewall. Staff who use non-police systems are advised to ensure appropriate firewalls and anti-viruses are in place.
