Testing web systems

• Thorough functional testing should be carried out on the IE5.5 platform set up as detailed in  Standard browser configurations for testing page
• All pages should be tested for usability and rendering in the following major browsers: Internet Explorer 6 and 7, Firefox 2, and Safari 419.3. Use the LCC Browsercam account to test against the relevant browsers and operating systems
• No page should be developed for a particular browser
• Check the download speed in online tools at http://www.siteconfidence.co.uk pages must download in less than 30 seconds, ideally no more than 15 seconds
• Pages must be tested for accessibility during their development.
• Thoroughly test any scripting technologies on a range of browsers (Internet Explorer 6 and 7, Firefox 2, and Safari 419.3), operating systems, PC and Mac
