Round 10 Beacon Authorities

Lancashire is one of four local authorities to have been presented the with the Beacon Award under the theme of 'Postive Enagement of Older People' in 2009.

Our fellow Beacons are; Bradford City Council, Camden Council and Tower Hamlets Council. Each authority brought something unique to the Beacon scheme and whilst disseminating information outwards is a key part of the Beacon role we will also be learning from each other.

We would strongly advise that you visit each of the other Beacon sites and discover what they have to offer so you can gain the best knowledge appropriate to the needs and circumstances of your service users
