A Ground Breaking Ceremony held on Wednesday 18 July 2007 marked the start of work on Sir John Thursby Community College and Ridgewood Community High School. The event was attended by the Vice-Chairman of the County Council Alan Whittaker as well as Head teachers and pupils from the 2 schools.
